In this sense, I think patience and hope are more closely linked than I had first thought.

I guess that patience is only really possible if there is hope.
Yeah - I think "will power" or stubborness will only let you wait for so long. And then your not waiting with your heart pointed in the right direction.
Saw a movie about China the other day and thought of you. The gong you got us is hung proudly in the living room. Made me want to go to China and/or hang out with you.
Attitude is a big part of waiting. Do you choose to survive or thrive? Do you "just" make it or do you persevere?

When I found out he had been crossing North America for thirty years my jaw dropped. I was thinking several, not thirty! But when you realize the Bible was taken from him and he had memorized it over the thirty year period it all made sense.
