Oddity in Haiku

I am at times, inspired to present interesting photos I find in haiku (this is by far my favorite).  I haven't done so in some time but recently, I came across a picture that was sent to me some months ago.  It demands to be shared.

I have no explanation for this photo.  I notice something different each time I look at it.  I do not know the story behind this photo and I invite you to share your suspicions in either haiku form or whatever seems appropriate.

mysterious tale:
a friendly get together
 evening gone awry

penny for your thoughts
man of polyester blend
what is your next move?

I can't stop looming at it. it's like seeing a train wreck. the older woman throwing up amidst her uninterested friends strikes me a hilariously odd

Although I wrote it as one of my Charlie Sheen quote Haiku, I think it works with this picture too.

That is so funny. I had to stop laughing to write this. Would love to know the story behind it.
